The 2007 Naracoorte Apex 4x4 Challenge has now passed, a week has gone by but Naracoorte still talking about those crazy 4x4's.

Bill Metcalf's 'Bigfoot' Patrol wagon appearing out of the dust and Paul Czudek's beast both arriving on the Friday to help us setup, starting my excitement for the weekend. These boys were out for some serious fun.

With 38 entries we had a busy weekend ahead of us. After 2 laps of he wet and 3 laps of the dry track one time from each was dropped to give us the final positions. Tim Margatich and Fary Raymond showed consistency and speed to win the event. Paul Czudek and Wally Bendikov in there Ballsy Patrol came second and in third was Robert Tucknott in there Jeep Wrangler which incidentally lost its 4WD shaft in the water pit. Rumor has it it was eaten by a crocodile. Forth place was John Gowly. A big wrap for those guys who entered in standard 4WDs and finished, with the changes to the track this year it was a tough course.

Unfortunately no one made it out of the Henshcki hole (which cables broke) Paul Czudek and Laurie Hodgson gave it a good go. A group of 5 gave the hole a test without winches giving us a great deploy of tough 4Wdriving. The crowd loved this spectacle.

The final Top 10 from eh challenge were given a change to fight it out over one hot lap of both tracks joined together. This was the finale for the weekend. Tim Margatich completed both tracks in 3min 33sec a great weekend for them.
